why is the situation in Tunisia so important to the rest of the world right now? because Tunisia is experiencing the same problems that allmost every country in the world is…corruption between big business and government, high unemployment, a growing gap between the rich and the poor and increased “security” creating an opressive police state.

The government had controll of the media for years, but when the truth finally began to seep out over the internet, people took to the streets and demanded an end to the corrupt financial and political systems that held them hostage. every… activist for peace and financial freedom in the world right now is cheering these people on and taking notes on how to follow in their footsteps.. what is most interesting about this whole situation is the fact that the united states were very supportive of the old regime because it allowed american multinational corporations to do whatever they pleased inside the country and because the tryant kept his arab citizens under strict rule…this is exactly why our government is freindly with countries like saudi arabia who have extremely fascist leaders who carry the same kind of elitist policies that the united states does

now that the whole world is watching the united states has of course changed their official stance and is supporting the revolutionary movement but this is not sincere in the least…our government is against populist movements, as we saw i…n the 80s with how the contra scandal in Nicaragua was handles..our government gave weapons and money to the opressive regime so they could keep their peasents under controlll…our government knew that if the peasents were to rise up and take controll of their land that it would be GAME OVER for american mulitnational corporations in that region… this is what is going on on the global stage…these are the motivations that our politicians have….wake up people….the third world is coming home
